VICTORY FOR REFORM STAMFORD AND POLITICS REBORN

One of Politics Reborn's great successes has come through its long-standing support of an unusually dynamic organizer in Fairfield County, CT.

Since the Democratic National Convention, Bernie Sanders delegate, Nina Sherwood, has turned the attention of her large base of political activists from campaigning for Bernie to campaigning for other candidates, pushing for Progressive legislation on local, state and national issues, and becoming involved in local Party and City politics along Connecticut's Gold Coast, from Greenwich and Stamford up through Norwalk and Bridgeport.

Lately, the focus has been on Reform Stamford, a slate of eight candidates, endorsed by Politics Reborn that Nina put together to challenge the Developer-oriented Establishment Dems of Stamford, CT.

In five primary elections on September 12th, Nina and three others won by very wide margins - landslide victories.

The fifth election turned into an epic battle for Reform Stamford candidate, Ines Saftic, who came in second in a three-way race for two seats on the Board of Representatives. Ines, new to politics, beat out a sitting Rep who not only had held her seat for 31 years, but was the Democratic Majority Leader on the Board of Reps.  This was a phenomenal victory.

However, since she only won by one vote, the results triggered an automatic recount, and following the recount, a run-off election was scheduled on October 3rd. Reform Stamford rose to the challenge, and Ines won the day.

Reform Stamford and Politics Reborn couldn’t have pulled it off without the support of organizers, volunteers, and contributions from other progressives who are fighting for change.

This win would not have been possible without the support of Politics Reborn. To keep this revolution going, we need your support. There are organizers and candidates across the country that we are eager to support but we can't do it without you help. Want to help up keep the movement going? Want to see successful progressive change? Please donate to Politics Reborn.
